Jean Michel Jarre – Versailles 400

Hybrid concert played in the physical world and in virtual reality

I had the privilege of managing the production and directing the video content inside VR for Versailles 400, an extraordinary project that transformed the Palace of Versailles into a virtual concert venue for Jean-Michel Jarre.

One of the highlights of this production was Jean-Michel Jarre’s use of the Lynx VR headset, which allowed him to remain in the physical world while seamlessly being broadcast into the virtual one – In VRROOM’s platform. This innovative approach bridged the gap between physical and digital, offering audiences a unique and immersive experience. We backed it up as well with a markerless motion capture system – capable to broadcast his movements on his avatar without wearing a suit.

Working alongside talented creative and technical teams, I focused on ensuring a smooth production process and creating visuals that complemented the music and atmosphere of this historic venue. It was a rewarding experience to see how technology and culture could come together to create something so impactful.
